1. How do I charge with the Red & Blue EV Charger App?

Use the Red & Blue EV Charger App to find the nearest available charger and select that station.

If you need directions to the station, select the map icon at the bottom.

  • Go to the station.
  • When you arrive at the station, select the appropriate connector for your vehicle.
  • Insert the charging station connector you selected into your vehicle.
  • Scan QR code and pay the service fee in advance by topping up your account, then start charging.

The charger will now check to see if you have a successful connection. Power flow to your car will begin. The app will now show you are charging your vehicle.

2. Steps For Account Set up?

Follow these steps to start charging with Red & Blue:

  • Download the Red & Blue EV Charger App for iOS or Android.
  • Create a user account in the Red & Blue EV Charger App.
  • Add a preferred payment method. The payment methods include bank transfer, debit/credit card and e-wallet.

3. How Do I Pay For Charging?

Payment of the Service Fee will be made before charging (“the prepaid service”).
You need to top up your account on the Red & Blue EV Charger App to start using the Red & Blue Charging Station Service.

Topping up your account can be done by using the Top Up Function in the Red & Blue EV Charger App applying for the cashless payment methods including bank transfer, debit/credit card and e-wallet. 

At the end of each charging session, the used charging station service fee will be deducted from your account balance.

Notes: You can top up your account in one prepayment for using many charging sessions.

4. How do I view my account information?

Login to your account via Red & Blue EV Charger App.

In the bottom right corner of the screen, click on View more > Account Info.

The View more info section allows you to view/update the following personal information, password, languages, caution, terms and conditions, and log in/ log out.

The Account Info view/update the following:

Personal Info (including email address, phone number, rename, ID card, and day of birth).

5. Charging your vehicle

  • Make sure the vehicle is in park.
  • Verify the Red & Blue EV Charging Station is powered on.
  • During startup of the charger, the system will perform a self-test to ensure correct operation.
  • After scanning QR code and your account is topped up, automatic charge begins. Power will be delivered in accordance with the vehicle’s demand. 
  • The charging screen displays the necessary information such as battery percentage and total charged kW. 
  • Click on “Stop Charge” via EV Charging Station/On car/On App mobile and Disconnect when the charge is complete and remove it from the vehicle.

6. What to do if my station is not working?

If the station doesn’t seem to work, please kindly contact switchboard system via phone number (+84) 28 6650 0553 for instructions on the nearest charging station or search through the Red & Blue EV Charger App on your phone.

7. The connector is stuck in my car

If you want to disconnect the connector, first ensure that charging is stopped via the charger screen on EV Charging Station/On car/On App mobile.

If you cannot disconnect the connector, contact Customer Support.

8. How long does it take to charge your EV

With 350kW power of charging station, the time it takes axproxiately 15 minutes with battery of 100KWH. 

EV Red & Blue charging station is a high power in Vietnam with 350kW can be more. 

9. How long it takes to fully charge an electric car

Red & Blue charging station of 350kW power takes around 15 minites charging from 10 to 80% battery of 100kWh.

Factors that affect charging speed.

  • There are 4 main factors that affect the time it takes to charge an electric vehicle as belows:

    Size of battery: The bigger your vehicle’s battery capacity (measured in kWh), the longer it will take to charge.
  • State of battery (empty vs. full): If you are charging from empty, it will take longer to charge than if you are topping up from 50%.
  • Max charging rate of vehicle: You can only charge a vehicle’s battery at the maximum charge rate the vehicle can accept. For example; if your vehicle’s max charge rate is 120 kW, you won’t charge any faster by using a 350 kW chargepoint.
  • Max charging rate of chargepoint: The time it takes to charge will also be limited by the max charging rate of the chargepoint you are using. For example; even if your vehicle can charge at 300kW, it will only charge at 150kW on a 150kW chargepoint.

10. How am I billed?

Payment of the Service Fee will be made before charging (“the prepaid service”). You need to top up your account on the Red & Blue EV Charger App. The payment methods are bank transfer payment, debit/ credit card, e-wallet. 

After successful top-up, you will receive a payment receipt via email. At the same time, if you register to receive e-invoice, e-invoice of the charging station service fee will be sent via the registered email after the successful prepaid payment.

The charging service amount depends on the charge point type and applicable charging fee.

The actual costs will be counted immediately after the end of your charging session.

At the end of each charging session, the used charging station service fee will be deducted from your account balance.
